Just Write

I have always been a spasmodic writer. As proof, there are abandoned blogs and articles languishing in cyberspace on topics ranging from ministry with Roma, human rights, church ministry, and how to properly complete clergy income tax returns. The last one was written under a pseudonym that I will not be sharing. Not many of you even know that I was once a manager of an H&R Block office and trained dozens of tax preparers in how to prepare clergy income tax.

I have been challenged by GRF’s Studentserve intern, Miguel, to begin writing a blog. His challenge came at a good time. I was encouraged to begin journaling some time back by my coach, but I was slow to take it up. I can always be distracted by one of the many stacks of paper that cover my work table.

Today, I just write.

I am not ready to commit to a writing and publishing schedule. It is enough this week to commit to a schedule for processing invoices and payments. I expect to have several unfinished pieces that will never be completed or published, and that is OK. Not every plant I put in my garden bloomed and produced fruit, and that is OK, too.

Today, I just write.
